Why did God’s Eternal Plan include sending His Son to earth to be a human being? Why did God need
to become a man?
1. That He Might Taste Death for Everyone v. 9
Hebrews 2:9 (ESV)
9 But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with
glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for
everyone.
2. To Bring Many People to Glory v. 10

10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory,
should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.
3. To Destroy the Devil v. 14

that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
4. To Deliver His Children from the Fear of Death v.15
